Meet Phil
Phil Ehr’s first mission in the Navy was the Mariel Boatlift, where he helped rescue Cuban exiles who risked it all for freedom and opportunity in America. He went on to serve a full career in the Navy and beyond—often in harm’s way—fighting communists, fascists and terrorists.
Phil’s lifelong commitment to our freedoms, democracy and prosperity continues in his campaign to replace Rep. Carlos Gimenez in Congress. Florida’s 28th Congressional District includes Southwest Miami-Dade County (West Kendall, The Hammocks, West Richmond Heights, Goulds, South Dade, Homestead, Florida City) and the beautiful Florida Keys.
Phil’s Priorities
Lower premiums, expand access, and reduce out-of-pocket costs through the Healthcare Stability & Program Choice Act.
Enforce anti-fraud laws, hold bad actors accountable, stabilize the market, and protect homeowners from rising costs.
Recommit to the Constitution, the rule of law, and the time-tested wisdom of the Just War tradition. Defend American leadership by rejecting anti-American rhetoric at home and abroad, and by making clear that true patriotism is not blind loyalty to any politician or party. America First means respecting America’s founding principles: liberty, democracy, constitutional checks and balances, and the sacred responsibility to use military force only when it is lawful and necessary.
Create an inter-agency public corruption task force and strengthen accountability for public contracts.
Pursue a full VA hospital or major VA medical facility in South Dade to improve access for veterans in South Dade and Monroe County while strengthening essential services.
Protect law-abiding immigrant families, Improve training and accountability for border personnel, a path to permanent residency for families stuck in legal limbo and target criminals and traffickers.
Protect the Everglades, defend water resources, support responsible growth, and pursue a temporary moratorium on large-scale AI data centers and other high-impact developments until their impacts on infrastructure, energy, housing, and the environment are fully evaluated.
